Well hello my compadres, I thought I'd start this trimester with an easy question to argue and discuss just to warm us up.
Through watching the movie and reading our homework tonight, which side do you agree with their motives or sympathize with more: the Royalists or the Parliamentans?
I think the Parliamentans (is that how you spell that?) were on the right track. They were right to oppose the King. That's a lot of power for one man to have. I'm all for representation of the people, and I think that the Parliament helped balance out the King's decisions. However, when they did supposedly have power during the CommenWealth they didn't do a very good job. I think a combination of King and Parliament actually worked the best in England.
