What do you think about existentialism? Do you think that it's true there is no inherent reason to life or is there some greater meaning in life for humans?
i like existentialism, i find it interesting and thought provoking, it clear doesn't have it all figured out, but nothing does. i like it cause it admits its not all figured out. i agree there is no he rent reason for human life but what we create for it
I like/agree with existentialism. I think that if people can figure out their own goal or purpose in life than the person can create their own happiness. Instead of just living through life and accepting what happens people should strive for a goal that they created.
I don't believe in a godless world, like existentialists do. However I do believe that is beyond human capacity to figure out the meaning of life or the existence of god, and that to do so, would be a waste of time. I like the existentialist belief that you can find your own meaning in life. However, I can't believe that there is no greater meaning to life or something that ties us all together, even if that thing is impossible to comprehend.
i like existentialism and agree with it. if people live fake unhappy lives then their life is actually wasted because they are living for something that isnt going to happen. but if you live for what u actually want to do, instead of believing in some sort of god, then you are actually making your life have a purpose and becoming happy
I partially agree with existentialism because some of the ideals such as anxiety helping you figure out your purpose and life make sense to me. That being said I also believe in God and that there is life for us after death. Even though I so believe in God I feel as though people devote too much of their lives to religion. The thing about all these "isms" is that they are all basically matters of personal opinions and no person can say that one is completely true.
i agree with it entirely. i find the thought of life being meaningless relaxing, inspiring, empowering, and liberating. i don't need a bribe of a perfect afterlife to make me do good, or the illusion that some god to have put me on this earth to fulfill some purpose to motivate me. i am here because i am here, and i'm going to do what i want with my life. actually, the thought of some god being in control or some greater purpose makes me feel depressed and worthless; it's kinda like some omnipotent being wanted me here so i could run a few errands for him then die.
